Steve Linn

An American artist who has lived in France since the early 1990s and became a French citizen in 2008, Steve Linn creates narrative works inspired by artistic, literary, historical, and political figures who have influenced him. By exploring the lives of these singular figures and boldly combining glass with other materials such as wood and bronze, he creates complex, three-dimensional compositions, sometimes reminiscent of photography, that reveal their personalities. In Conches, in the museum chapel, he will present a selection of ten large-scale murals and sculptures this spring, evoking, among others, the Italian painter Giorgio Morandi, the Spanish activist known as La Pasionaria, and the photographer and street artist JR.
