Recent acquisitions

In 2023, beautiful acquisitions will enrich the collections of the François Décorchemont glass museum.

The museum benefited from the exceptional donation of one hundred and forty-nine Legras glassworks from Dominique and Jean Vitrat, as well as the legacy of Madeleine Maffre consisting of ten contemporary works, including three glass pastes by Etienne Leperlier. The museum also benefited from the donation with usufruct reserve of two pieces of glass by François Décorchemont by Jean-Claude Delauney and the donation of a large wall work by the American artist Ricky Bernstein, a blown glass sculpture of 'Armel Desrue offered by the Mayero gallery and by Philip Baldwin and Monica Guggisberg, from a work by Julie Legrand, purchased from the artist by the AMCO, the Association of Friends of the Friends of the Conches Museums.

The museum finally purchased a stained glass window by François Décorchemont representing Saint Geneviève and a second stained glass window representing Sainte Foy, thanks to a public subscription and with the help of the AMCO, as well as a multi-layer vase by Désiré Christian from the Zehil gallery in Monaco, an enameled glass by Auguste Heiligenstein, and a sculpture by Sally Fawkes with the artist.
