The Enchanted World of JOSETTE RISPAL

A self-taught visual artist renowned for her art brut, Josette Rispal added glass to her palette of materials in the early 1980s, creating unclassifiable works in this field, evoking hidden souls, disrupted nature, and the human figure. Created in the glassworks of Murano, her sculptures borrow in turn from surrealism, the distortion of objects, from baroque, the profusion of ornaments, and from minimalism, the simplification of forms.

On the occasion of her donation to the François Décorchemont Glass Museum, her masks, trees, witnesses, and lunar flowers enchant the chapel for the duration of an exhibition, offering a glimpse into the marvelous world of Josette Rispal.
