35 years of glass

Isabelle Monod discovered glass arts when her husband, Claude Monod, created his hot-working glass studio in 1976, in the outskirts of Nice.
She began by creating vases, then small volumes progressively put on top of one another to create equilibrated compositions, sometimes associated with other types of material, which are often natural. More recently, she fused these elements to make one object.
With a selection of a hundred and twenty objects, created between 1976 and 2011, the exhibition at our Conches Glass Museum proposes the unique personal journey of this artist in the framework of the French glass revival, who was able to shift her works to glass sculpture.
